Replacement Plates
Each set of metallic plates will provide 200 hours of illumination. Once the metallic plates have been consumed, they can be replaced. Replacement plates are available for US$3.50 per set.

How is the ION Light powered?
The ION Light is powered by the electricity generated by the ionization process between the salt water and the metallic plates.
How long will the ION Light lasts?
Each set of metallic plates will last approximately 200 hours. When the salt water has been used up (around 10 hours), just add more salt water and the ION Light will continue to light up.
How much salt does one add to the water?
4-15 grams. Sea water will also work. So will instant noodle soup. We tried. And yes, in an emergency when there is no other option, urine will also work. Though that will probably be the last time you use that particular ION Light again.
How bright is the ION Light?
ION Light's brightness is 100 lumens.
What temperature range can the ION Light operate within?
-4°F to 131°F or -20°C to 55°C
Is the ION Light safe?
The ION Light is very safe. There are no fire hazards, no toxic fumes and only leaves behind some harmless mineral residues.
What if I only need to use te ION light for a short period of time?
When you are finished using the ION Light, simply pour out the remaining salt water, rinse out the inside of the light and it will be ready for use again when needed.
